Garden room update
Its been a busy fews days regarding the preparation for the garden room. Lots of people came to help with laying the base and successfully completed the base.
Once the base had been completed by a wonderful team of volunteers, led by Karl, it was time for the main attraction, the Graden room.
And there we have it, ladies and gents, Edgmond Bowling Club's newest addition, The garden room!
Thank you to all who have been involved with everything, from securing the grant to ordering the materials and organising the build. That's what a club should be: everyone mucking in where they can to make the club what it is. Only the electrics need to be done. We should all be proud.

The Forresters Shield
Well done to Ben, Geoff, and Ailsa for winning the triples trophy 21-17. It was a great game against Jan, John, and Alison—a big thank you to Dave for bringing the new Forrester trophy. Well done everyone.
The Jack Mansell Cup
The Jack Mansell Cup is for social, C team, and B team members. So it is great for new members and the less experienced members to have a chance to compete for a cup. Many members attended and took part, showing that the club has a lot of potential players who will be able to progress further in the club and the sport.
The final came down to Sam Young and Dave Tarr, which was great. These two were well matched, as it was a close match, and the jack went from one to the other. In the end, Sam managed to beat Dave in a close end.
Well done, Sam, and commiserations to Dave, but well done.
Laxton Cup
The Laxton Cup was a men's singles competition. With a well-attended card and spectators, it came down to Rob Herbert and John Lea to give a wonderful conclusion to a great final. Rob managed to outdo John in becoming the winner of the Laxton Cup. Well done to Rob, and congratulations to John, but well-contended.
Ladies Singles Cup
The club's female members attended the ladies' cup well. Some great bowls matches were played. The final came down to Vicki McNally and Jan Wright. After a display of excellent bowls, Jan became the victor.
HR Buckingham Singles Cup
We had our Singles cup, and after some great bowls by all levels of bowlers, the final ended up being a grandson versus his nan. It was Ben Cutler against his nan, Shirley Hadley.
Phil Prosser Doubles Cup
The Phil Prosser doubles cup was well attended, with plenty of willing contenders. The final was between Graham Kirk and John Wilson versus Vicki McNally and Shirly Hadley. John and Graham came out the victors after a great final.
